Event/Game Highlights:

4/13/23:  The South Lyon United boys lacrosse team came away with a 13-4 victory against neighboring Novi HS.  The SLU offense was lead by sophomore Anthony Aschi with six points (5G, 1A), junior Aidan Meyers and sophomore Ben Gridley each added five points (1G, 4A - 3G, 2A), and senior captain Andrew Marszalek and junior Nate Radley added three more points each (1G,2A - 2G, 1A).  Senior captain Caleb Gash also added two points (1G, 1A) and junior Niko Dilbone added a point (1A).  Junior captain CJ Peters stopped 60% of the shots he faced.  The team captured 34 ground balls lead by Ben Gridley (6), Owen Stuckey (5), Will Gilman (4), Simeon Mardossian (3), Marszalek, Gash, Meyers, Aschi, Wesley, Toth, and Swan each with (2), and Dilbone and Levin each had (1).  Senior captain Simeon Mardossian was 6/8 on face-off wins (75%) and senior Andrew Slevin was 3/5 (60%).

4/12/23:  SLU routed last season's LVC championship contender, Walled Lake Western, with a 18-3 win.  The SLU team scored earl and scored often lead by junior Ben Gridley who chalked up eight points (5G, 3A) along with junior Aidan Meyers who had five points (4G, 1A).  The scoring was also helped by senior captain Caleb Gash, junior Nate Radley, and sophomore Anthony Aschi who each had three points (2G, 1A each).  Junior Jacob Pylak added two points (1G, 1A) and senior captain Simeon Mardossian, sophomore Enzo Capicchioni, senior Aden Rose, and junior Niko Dilbone each added a point (1G - 1A - 1G - 1A).  Defensively the team fought for 36 ground balls lead by Ben Gridley with (6) Simeon Mardossian with (5), Gilman, Stuckey, Levin and Aschi each with (3), Dilbone, Wesley and Swan each with (2) and Gash, Rose, Radley, Meyers, Allen, and Toth each with (1).  Andrew Levin lead face-offs with 5/7 (71%) along with Caleb O'Neil 2/3 (67%) and Simeon Mardossian at 6/10 (60%).

4/10/23:  SLU powers past LVC competitor Huron Valley United with a 13-1 win.  Junior captain CJ Peters was mad man between the pipes stopping 88% of shots from HVU.  Face-offs were lead by Simeon Mardossian taking the bulk and going 10/11 (91%) and Andrew Slevin going 3/3 (100%).  Scoring for SLU was lead by Aidan Meyers with five points (2G, 3A), Ben Gridley with four points (3G, 1A), Caleb Gash  added three points (2G, 1A), Andrew Marszalek added two points (2G), and Radley, Capicchioni, Pylak, Dilbone, Aschi, and Toth each added a point (1G - 1G - 1G -1A - 1G - 1A).  The team had 34 GB's lead by Caleb Gash with (4), along with (3) each from Simeon Mardossian, Owen Stuckey, Jack Toth, and CJ Peters.  Nate Radley, Aiden Rose, Andrew Slevin, Ben Gridley, Aueben Wesley, Nick Dasher, and Connor Swan also added (2) each.   Ben Radley, Will Gilman, Nico Sobczak, and Josh Ranalli each grabbed (1) as well.

4/6/23:  SLU traveled to Northville to take on the Mustangs and walk away with a 16-5 victory.  The offensive was lead by senior captains Andrew Marszalek (5G, 1A) and Caleb Gash Gash (2G, 4A) each with six points.  They were helped by juniors Nate Radley (4G) and Aidan Meyers (3G, 1A) along with sophomore Ben Gridley (2G, 2A) adding four a piece.  Sophomore Anthony Aschi also added a pair of assists.  South Lyon defense won 29 GB's and were lead by juniors Niko Dilbone with (7), captain Owen Stuckey with (6), and freshman Connor Swan with (4).  Senior Andrew Levin stopped (3), senior captain Caleb Gash grabbed (2) as did sophomore Auben Wesley (2) and junior Jack Toth.  Senior Aiden Quinn had (1) along with juniors Aidan Myers (1) and Will Gilman (1).  Senior Andrew Levin was 8/13 (62%) on face-offs and junior Captain CJ Peters stopped 58% of the shots from Northville.

4/5/23:  The SLU boys came back from spring break on a mission against LVC competitor Walled Lake United.  SLU came out of the gate scoring quick and scoring often ending in a 16-4 win.   South Lyon's offense was led by junior attackman Aidan Meyers with six point (3G, 3A), senior captain Andrew Marszalek with four points (4G), senior captain Caleb Gash with four points (1G, 3A), sophomore midfielder Anthony with four points (3G, 1A), sophomore attackman Ben Gridley with four points (1G, 3A).  Junior Nate Radley added two points (2G) and sophomore Enzo Capicchioni also added a point (1G).   The defense played aggressive and only allowed Walled Lake's offense to take 15 shots on goal.  The defense was led by junior captain Owen Stuckey with five GB's, senior FO specialist Andrew Slevin also scooped up five GB's, and sophomore defenseman Auben Wesley grabbed three GB's.  Junior captain and goalkeeper CJ Peters stopped 11 shots with an astonishing 73% save percentage.

3/22/23:  The South Lyon Unified boys lacrosse team opened the 2023 season against the top lacrosse school from the Lansing area, Okemos HS.  SLU jumped out to a 2-0 lead but score was tied not long after.  Both defenses played extremely well and a back-and-forth battle ensued for the remainder of the game.   After a battle in trenches, SLU fell short with a 6-7 loss to visiting Okemos.  SLU's offense was lead by senior captain Caleb Gash with three points (2G, 1A), junior attackman Nate Radley with three points (1G, 2A), senior captain Andrew Marszalek added two points (1G, 1A), and sophmore attackman Ben Gridley with two points (2G).  Junior Ben Radley and sophomore Anthony Asahi each added an assist.  Junior captain CJ Peters stopped 10 shots with a 59% save percentage
